Introduction to Navigation
A 2 day course designed for those who are new to mountain navigation.
Day 1 takes you straight out onto the hill after a brief classroom explanation of all the basics of navigation for hillwalkers including:

Day 2 of the course looks at these techniques in more detail on a 5 mile navigation based trek in the Preseli mountains.
Course requirements - An interest in hillwalking & a reasonable fitness level
A suitable compass is required by all clients. A silva expedition 4 is the industry standard and by far the best choice for hillwalking. This compass usually costs around £25.00 & will be the best £25 you'll ever spend! Available from Millets & similar stores.
